ERS Chiropractic Care and Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy Prior Authorization and Referral Requirements Update

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas has updated the Prior Authorization and Referral Requirements Lists to reflect the first office visit to in-network chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists do not require a referral or Prior Authorization for either HealthSelect^SM of Texas or Consumer Directed HealthSelect^SM participants.

All subsequent visits to in-network chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists require a Prior Authorization for therapies, manipulations and other services which includes a treatment plan.
