Authorizations Not Required for ERS Participants When Medicare is Primary

On December 2, 2017, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) added a note to the posted Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) Prior Authorization Lists for HealthSelect^SM of Texas , Consumer Directed HealthSelect^SM and HealthSelect^SM Out-of-State plans to clarify when Medicare is primary to BCBSTX, no referrals or prior authorizations will be required for ERS participants.
